For standard consultations, brides are advised to bring pictures of dress inspiration, a close family member or friend, varied undergarments and a wedding theme.
Atelier (VIP) consultations are run exclusively for bridal groups, where the group is greeted with cold bubbly beverages, a cheese platter and a professional consultants service. Virtual consultations and VIP Consultation options are also available.

2. Vinka Design
Vinka Design is a family owned Bridal Design store, located in Auckland CBD. They are known for making beautiful, handmade gowns and have been designing for over 50 years.
Vinka Lucas established the label in 1959, her daughter Anita has since taken over to continue the brands legacy.
Their philosophy is that dresses are more than visually stunning – they are made to be worn, the inspiration for each dress must come from the individual who will be wearing it.
Their work has been showcased in Bride and Groom Magazine, New Zealand Weddings and New Zealand Fashion Museum to name a few.
They have multiple wedding gown collections showcasing in their showroom; however, they also make custom gowns.

3. Trish Peng
Trish Peng is a Bridal and Evening wear designer from New Zealand, with a showroom in Grey Lynn. She was awarded Winner of Best Custom in 2019 by California Wedding Day Magazine, and stocks dresses in New Zealand and the United States.
Trish Peng has been featured in Marie Claire, New Zealand Weddings, The Huffpost, The New Zealand Herald and People Magazine to name a few. Her Bridal and Evening wear collections have also been a part of New Zealand Fashion Week.
A new collection is released each year, with Reflections, Flora, and Juliette and a collaboration with Bride and Winter being the most recent. Showroom consultations can be arranged in-store or via booking.
The process begins with choosing a silhouette, fabric and designing, followed by fittings. In store purchases can also be made off-the-rack.

Anna Schimmel is a European bridal designer, which operates out of Anna’s sunny studio in Point Chevalier. Anna has a Masters in Fine Fashion, and over 30 years’ experience in bridal design.
She has also trained and worked in European Couture in Germany. She describes her design style as classic, elegant, and a little sexy, with a desire to empower brides to feel like the best versions of themselves.
Anna meets clients in her studio through bookings, which can be made on her website or via phone. Her services include ready-to-wear designer wedding dresses, which are constructed 3 – 6 months before the wedding date.
Consultations go for 60 minutes, with the first appointment being complimentary. Some dresses are available off-the-rack, and can be picked up the same day in case of Bridal emergencies. Sizes 8 – 16 are offered, and further alteration can be made by trusted dressmakers.
Her website features her Italian Bride, Modena Bridal and Prague Bridal collections, including videos, photos and testimonial photos of brides wearing her dresses.

5. Kellylin Couture
Kellylin Couture is a bridal designer brand, their showroom is located in Eden Terrace, with stockists in Hamilton, and Australia.
Kelly Lin is the designer behind the brand, growing up around her own family’s bridal showroom. Kelly grew up learning her craftmanship from her Mum, who worked for International Bridal Designers.
After spending years perfecting her skills and creativity, Kelly branched out into her own brand.
